Hundreds of friends, families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters came together at Sports Academy on September 4th for an unforgettable night filled with basketball, incredible raffle prizes, food, special guests, and, most importantly, a shared determination to make a difference.

Hoops for a Cure was created in honor of Brayden, who loved basketball, his friends, and bringing people together. After Brayden passed away, we wanted to find a way to turn our unimaginable loss into something meaningful. Hoops for a Cure has become exactly that.

What began as an idea just months after losing Brayden has grown into something bigger than we ever could have imagined. In our first year, we raised $57,000. Last year, we raised $73,000. This year, our community helped us surpass our $100,000 goal and raise more than $107,000.

Every dollar raised through Hoops for a Cure helps The Brayden Cole Hinck Foundation further its mission to fund desperately needed pediatric brain cancer research, support families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis, and continue Brayden’s legacy by inspiring others to Be Like B: be kind, be bold, be brave.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this year's event possible—from our participants and fundraisers to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, special guests, and the countless people who worked behind the scenes. Whether you shot hoops, raised money, donated a raffle prize, volunteered your time, sponsored the event, or simply showed up to support our family and our mission, you were part of making this happen.

To see Hoops for a Cure continue to grow—and to see people who never had the chance to meet Brayden embrace his story and help carry his legacy forward—means more to our family than we can put into words.

$107,000 is more than a number. It represents hope. And it brings us one step closer to a future where families facing pediatric brain cancer have more options, better treatments, and more time with the children they love.
